Hayes Higgins Partnership was appointed to act a Consulting Civil Structural Engineers in the design and construction of a new Club House adjacent to the seafront in Wicklow Town.

This structure is framed in reinforced concrete and blockwork supporting precast floors and a set of composite “flitch” king post roof trusses supporting heavy roof mounted plant and services.

The building is glazed to the entire perimeter of the public areas. Special stiffening is inserted from the main structure to control stresses and deflections inherent in the glazing design.
