This development involved the construction of 24 homes for the elderly and a Community Hall in Cashel, Co. Tipperary. HHP acted as M&E Consultants on this project part of the scope of which included Building Energy Rating.

 

M&E design Element:

The development consisted of 24 No. residential units for the elderly and one community centre in the centre of the site. HHP were responsible for the Site Services including ESB, Public Lighting, Eircom, Chorus/NTL, and Water Services.  HHP as site services engineers met with and consorted with all the utilities providers. HHP were also responsible for the internal mechanical and electrical installations within all the buildings in this development.

 

BER Rating Improvement Element:

U-values improvements were implemented to increase the thermal performance of the building. Heating controls were upgraded to improve heating efficiency incl. TRVs and separate heating of hot water. Lighting changed to 100% High Efficiency. Overall Improvement C3 to C1.
