This project involves the construction of a children’s assessment unit on the grounds of St. Senan’s hospital Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. We provided mechanical and electrical design and supervision services.

These include ventilation, cold water services, Low Surface Temperature (LST) panel and overhead radiant panel heating, general electrical services, normal and emergency lighting installations, external lighting, fire detection and alarm system, and CATV. We also provided for site services such as ESB, Eircom, mains water.

Sustainable Design Element:

As a key member of the professional design team with specialist knowledge in building fabric heat losses we have driven the design towards specifying a building that has a far superior energy performance than almost all other similar buildings being built. In fact the provisional BER for this building is B1 standard. This has been achieved by carrying out detailed u-value calculations and working closely with the Architect to specify the thermodynamic properties of the various building fabric elements within the structure.
