Hayes Higgins Partnership provided the Civil and Structural Engineering Services and Design and Supervision Services for this project which was constructed under the GCCC Form of Contract.

This project consisted of a contemporary design for a two storey extension to the existing secondary school providing a new image and identity for the school and tying it back to the local community by introducing a new entrance court of Grange’s Road.

The design has also created a more user friendly environment for the pupils and teachers with 16 new classrooms opening off the internal ‘street’ together with updated specialist classroom areas in the existing school.

The extension was constructed in reinforced concrete frame, supporting precast flooring and steel roofing with infill block work. This project was completed in 2013.
