Hayes Higgins Partnership provided Civil and Structural Engineering Services and Design and Supervision Services for this project which was constructed under the Government Construction Contracts Committee Form of Contract. The project consisted of the construction of a 16 classroom Primary School Building comprising an integrated general purpose room, associated ancillary accommodation, associated site works and the provision of two new general ball courts and one new junior play court and ancillary accommodation.  External works included car parking (32 cars), access road and turning circle, 2 No. ball courts, junior ball court, school garden and general landscaping.

This school was constructed in “system” or “rapid build”, construction in metal framing by ABM Main Contractors and Fusion Steel Framing Specialists including car parking, site services and roadways.

To achieve this fast track programme the building structure was manufactured off site using an insulated light gauge steel frame system which eliminated more traditional methods of construction such as in-situ concrete and block work. The design and build consortium planned a fast-track on site construction duration of 26 weeks.
