Hayes Higgins Partnership provided Civil and Structural Engineering Services and Design and Supervision Services for this project which was constructed under the GDLA Form of Contract.

This project consisted of a 6 classroom extension, two classroom conversion to the existing 4 classroom school and provision of GP room, library, staff and administration room, courtyard and ball courts.

The 1000m² building is single storey with lightweight roofing throughout. The roof is constructed with curved beams to match the architectural shapes. Traditional foundations and masonry are used throughout.

Sustainable drainage techniques were used to solve historical flooding issues on the site

The design team set about successfully designing an extension and complete refurbishment within a working school.

The project was completed within program and on budget.
