Hayes Higgins Partnership was appointed to act a Consulting Civil Structural Engineers in the design and supervision of 25 telecommunication masts erected from 2002 to 2008.

These projects involve the erection of new masts or alterations to existing masts at an approximate cost per job of €50k to €250k.

Hayes Higgins Partnership managed the engineering service and ensured that a all of the surveys were carried out reflecting the needs of the respective clients to enable a value engineered set of solutions to be presented to the client prior to tendering the mast erection works.

Description of Role:

Services Provided include:

  1. Surveyed existing building or standalone masts.

  2. Carried out structural assessment of existing loads.

  3. Determined proposed additional loadings to be imposed by mast or telecom panels.

  4. Assessed existing structure to carry additional loads.

  5. Preparation of schedules of alterations and strengthening works to existing to support additional loads.
