Refurbishment and extension to existing 50 bed Community Nursing Unit at Belvilla, Dublin 8. This project completed in December 2016 and involved new 800 m2 extension and refurbishment of existing 2,000 m2 nursing home. This is to bring the unit in line with HIQA standard 25.
The development consisted of the construction of 4no. single storey extensions, internal reconfigurations of the existing single storey block and modifications to the existing elevations.
The new extensions will accommodate additional bedroom areas, staff facilities, the relocation of the plant room, services, covered waste area and associated landscaping.
Reconfiguration works will include the relocation and upgrading of day facilities, communal facilities, treatment rooms, administration facilities, and existing bedrooms to accommodate 50 no. residents in total.
